Introduction
This shoot took place on 03/03/2020 @ The Manchester College, Fielden Campus in Didsbury. This shoot took apox 1 hour.
Research and Inspiration
For this look I wanted the eyes to be the main focus again, for inspiration I put together a board on Pinterest. I was researching for pink monochrome looks as this was something that I wanted to put into my portfolio and was editorial style. https://pin.it/186kXE.
I was also inspired by a make-up look I came across in a recent issue of Glamour Magazine, the two looks where titled ‘Lightning Lids’. These looks are super editorial style and are really eye catching and bright, I wanted to keep my look monochromatic and just stick with pink.

How will the shoot benefit my portfolio
This shoot will benefit my portfolio as it showcases my editorial skills, which is my style that I like to do, as I like to be creative and different when designing a look. It also adds some colour to my portfolio and is different to a basic eye make-up look.
How it went on the day and did I overcome any obstacles
I really enjoyed doing this shoot and it turned out well on the day, my friend Molly kindly modelled for me for this look, I am glad she did because the look worked really well on her and turned out the way I envisioned it to. I didn’t face any obstacles on the day of the shoot, everything went smoothly and well, I enjoy working in the professional environment in the studio, having access to the professional cameras to use and learning how to use them to get the best shots for my portfolio.
Evaluation
I am truly happy with how the final images came out and the look that I came up with as it was a quickly put together look after doing some research via Pinterest and getting some inspiration. This is a good example of the type of work I like to do and what I am confident showing to future employers when they ask to see my portfolio, editorial looks are I like creating and one of my strongest points. With the professional photos that i took in the studio I used one of them to create a business card as I really liked how it turned out and how it looked, I thought it would be a perfect piece of work to showcase on my business cards, promoting myself.
